The Social Service of Catholic Women e.V. Neuss (SkF) is a non-profit organization that has been committed to helping socially disadvantaged people, especially women, families, children and young people in Neuss and the Rhine district of Neuss, for 120 years.
At a time when people tend to look the other way and refer to the social safety net, our actions are determined by our love for people and respect for the dignity of each individual:
- looking out for the needs of women, children and families;
- looking out where women are degraded or marginalized;
- looking out where conflicts arise and violence is perpetrated;
- looking at where people are lonely and helpless;
- acting to enable development;
- acting to strengthen skills;
- acting to alleviate hardship;
- acting to encourage people to shape their lives independently.
Under the guiding principles of solidarity and subsidiarity, the approximately 150 full-time and over 60 volunteer employees of SkF Neuss are committed, competent and sometimes unconventional in their approach to acute emergency situations and social challenges and changes.
Our services are open to all people, regardless of age, denomination or nationality.
You will find us in Neuss city center (close to the main train station), as well as mainly in the districts of Weckhoven, Gnadenthal and Grimlinghausen/Uedesheim.
